eat-football.com aims to provide you with the latest and most accurate football news as it happens. We strive to be your most reliable resource for football news in the UK and from around the globe.

So, how does it work?

We rely on you, a member of the eat-football.com community to find breaking news and post it on eat-football.com.

How do you ensure the quality of the news story?

All of the news stories submitted on eat-football.com are subject to approval from our administrators. This means that football news stories on eat-football.com are checked by HUMANS and not bots. This maintains the quality of the news story and of course, ensures that all posting are football related.

How can I sign up?

You can sign-up using either the "create new account" link in the top left box or by clicking on the "login/register" button in the top right. All you need is an original username and an email address. Be sure to drag and drop the eat-football.com bookmarklet into your web browswer toolbar.

How do I post a news story?

Once you've signed up, you can submit news stories to eat-football.com via two ways.

Click on the "Submit News" button in the navbar, then copy and paste the web
address of the website where the news story is located (e.g. http://www.skysports.com/), then click "continue". Enter a short description of the news story, or simply copy and paste an extract from the hosting website. You can enter a summary but this is not a compulsory field. Selet a relevant category from the drop down list. If the news story is about a premiership transfer for example, select "Transfers" then "Premiership".

At the last step, you can add an image to the news story. Simply choose the image from your hard drive and upload. Once you're happy with your news story, submit!

Alternatively, you can submit through the eat-football.com bookmarklet. On sign up, you will be asked to drag and drop the bookmarklet into your toolbar.

The bookmarklet allows you to quickly post a news story onto eat-football.com without leaving the website you are on. If you have found a unique news story,
simply click on the bookmarklet. This will activate a submission window where you will be asked to fill out the above steps.

What's a bookmarklet?

A bookmarklet is a small application which can be saved and used as a normal bookmark. The eat-football.com bookmarklet allows you to submit a news story to eat-football.com quickly, at a click of a button. To install, simply drag and drop the eat-football.com bookmarklet into your browser toolbar or click on the bookmarklet link to save as a bookmark.
